comprehensive placement exam
Benchmark's comprehensive placement exam is used to determine the student's CEFR placement level. The placement test offers a standardized assessment of the student's knowledge of English grammar, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing and speaking . You are encouraged to pursue the course that will best meet your needs once your CEFR level is determined.
customized study plans
We can use your own assignments and study materials as well as one of the the many English language learning platforms at our disposal.
conversational english classes
Is your goal to improve your fluency in spoken English in a low-pressure environment? Then our conversational English class is exactly what you need! We offer a unique opportunity to converse on subjects tailored to your interests and level of English. Be prepared to fika!
Grammar focus
Choose from either a five or ten-week course. Each class is 90 minutes in length. Please note: A Benchmark placement test is required prior to enrollment for the first grammar class. (Summer Only)

About Your Instructor
Calara Hardin, FOUnder
I have over 20 years experience with training and professional development within the field of dentistry. I have mentored and trained my entire professional career.
I am a native English speaker of standard American English. I am TEFL certified and I have taught English to both individuals and groups—young and old. I teach with a customized approach to learning English. From the cultural nuances of Business English, to the basics of English grammar, to boosting confidence in speaking to teenagers and younger learners. I am also proficient in Swedish to the level of understanding important nuances between the languages. I enable the learner to navigate English with Swedish as a medium of instruction.
